Based in Manchester, ORIKLE (also known as Rik Kay) is a visionary producer and electronic artist crafting immersive sonic journeys. Driven by a lifelong passion for dance music in all its forms, ORIKLE channels profound personal life experiences and deep emotional narratives into the dark, transcendent realms of Melodic Techno and Tech House.

The origin of the project traces back to a unique and inspiring beginning in 2021, when he first started producing music alongside his seven-year-old son. Fast forward just a few years, and the tracks born from that father-son collaboration have amassed an incredible 10 million streams. Fueled by this massive organic success and a driving desire to explore a heavier, more cinematic sonic landscape, the solo project ORIKLE was officially established in 2026.

As an avid student of the electronic scene, ORIKLE has traveled extensively to witness the world’s biggest DJs perform from the legendary super-clubs of Ibiza to iconic underground venues across the UK. The energy of those dancefloors directly dictates his process in the studio. Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
One of my earliest memories is a bit of a heist. I grew up in the fallout of The Haçienda, and my sister was right in the thick of it every weekend. As soon as she headed out the door, I would sneak into her room to raid her CD collection.

I remember the exact moment I found Bizarre Inc’s Playing with Knives. I put it on and it completely blew my mind. It was the first time I felt that raw, driving energy of a real club track. I sat there in the dark trying to imagine the atmosphere of the dancefloor she had just gone to. That single moment of discovery is the spark that eventually led to the ORIKLE project. Everything I produce now is just an attempt to capture that same level of excitement.

What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums, and why?

I always had a thing for a great lyric or a great beat. The mix I selected showcases the best of the best and at one point or another were instrumental to how my music taste grew over time.
 

Favourite song of yours that you love and what makes it special?
Chain Reaction is a track that comes from a very deep place. There have been times when life has been tough and I had to make some hard choices just to keep driving forward. This song is my way of processing that through the lens of chaos theory.

It is a sonic look at how one small change or one single decision can ripple through the rest of your life. Every layer in the track represents that momentum. It shows how a tiny spark can eventually grow into something that completely reshapes your world. For me, this track is about the grit it takes to move from the chaos into something meaningful.
