Privacy

This site sets no cookies, runs no advertising, and does not track you between visits or across other websites. There is nothing here to opt out of, which is why you have not been shown a consent banner.
Visitor numbers
I use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It is cookieless: it stores nothing on your device and reads nothing back from it, and it cannot follow you to any other site. It records the page you viewed, the site or search engine you arrived from, your rough location at country level, and the type of device and browser you used.
None of that identifies you, and I cannot single out an individual visitor. There is no profile of you anywhere in it.
The contact form
The form on the contact page does not send anything to a server. It opens your own email application with the message already written out, and nothing is sent until you press send yourself.
When you do, the email arrives with me like any other email. I keep it so I can reply and so I have a record of what was agreed, and I do not add anyone to a mailing list or pass details to anyone else. If you would like me to delete our correspondence, ask and I will.
Music videos
Videos on this site are not loaded until you click play. Until then you see an image hosted here, and your browser makes no request to YouTube at all. This is deliberate: an ordinary embedded player would contact Google on every page load whether or not you ever watched anything.
Once you press play, the video is served through youtube-nocookie.com and Google's own privacy policy applies to it from that point.
Music you play here
The player at the bottom of the page streams audio files from this site. It remembers nothing between visits and reports nothing about what you listened to.
Links to other places
Links out to Spotify, Beatport, Apple Music, YouTube, Instagram and MusicBrainz take you to services with their own privacy policies, which I have no control over.
Your rights, and asking me anything
Under UK data protection law you can ask what personal data I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you are unhappy with how I have handled it. In practice the only personal data I am likely to hold is an email you sent me.
